We Wish you a Metal Xmas and a Headbanging new year

Pretty funny, but worth a listen i guess.
Heaviest x'mas album?? Well.. i don't think anything will ever be as good as spinal tap's "christmas with the devil" but it's allright.
It's got the "top" metal artists and has them collaborating on you're average xmas hits. But something just doesn't sell it for me.
The vocal performances are kinda weak EXCEPT for Ripper owens on "santa claus is back in town" and "silent night" thrash metal with brutal growls from Chuck Billy. They really nailed that shit. and the guitar solos are super rad on "Silent Night" too!

Peace yo!

My new favourite album! Alkana - Welcome to my paradise - 1978 (320k)

According to the acid archives, this rare jem is from San Bernardino California!
A true hard rock-solid blend of everything 70's metal should be!

ALKANA (San Bernardino, CA)

"Welcome to My Paradise" 1978 (Baby Bird no #) [lyric insert]

This sought-after hard rock rarity was released in 1978, but sounds like an early 80s record. It has the kind of high vocals and streamlined lead guitar that would soon take over the mainstream hard rock world. The majority of this album is pretty standard macho flashy guitar stuff, better than most of its kind but nothing special unless you're a genre fan. What makes the album special is the 11-minute "The Tower," an epic that incorporates everything that's good about the genre: melodic guitar leads, a stunning chorus, a smooth shift from mellow to heavy after a few minutes of the song. It's a classic, and the rest of the album gains appeal by association with it. Pretty album cover, too. Danny Alkana was formerly with Cock Robin, a local band that at times featured Misunderstood legend Glenn Ross Campbell. He later had some success on the classical-inspired metal guitar circuit. These guys had raised the bar long ago, they're part manowar, part road warrior, and a whole lot of tongue-in-cheek metal!!

Carnivore's Selft-Titled 1985 album this is the pre-type o negative epic metal insane comedy thrash speed etc..
One of the most clever/funny Metal albums you'll hear. Comedy metal at it's finest.. but done totally serious!!

Incredible Hog - 1972 - Volume 1 - superb Hard/Heavy Rock!

INCREDIBLE HOG – VOLUME 1 - 1972 (UK) hard rock
70's hard rock.. Heavy Rock!

So i noticed my last few posts had the same theme on the cover!! Fantasy Metal, naked chicks in battle scenes.
Kinda stranged how it all came in the same wave..
anyways, here's a little something to break that chain.
INCREDIBLE HOG!!!!
Totally cool, there's a few superb track that i've been obsessed with.
Reminds me of "Hector" (the junkshop glam band), with a little bit of "Bloodrock", and a little "los dug dugs"
Super rad 70's rock..Check it OUT!!

Chastain - 1985 - Mystery of Illusion - Chick Metal

Chastain - 1985 - Mystery of Illusion
Heavy Metal with Female blackie lawless/john bush type vocals
From Cincinnati Ohio

01.) The Black Night
02.) When The Battle's Over
03.) Mystery Of Illusion
04.) I've Seen Tomorrow
05.) Endlessly
06.) Requiem
07.) Fear No Evil
08.) Night Of The Gods
09.) We Shall Overcome
10.) Winds Of Change
11.) March Out

Good debut of Chastain, the band named after the guitarist, David T. Chastain. The band Chastain was at that time an exponent of the upcoming american metal movement.
David Chastain is a guitar madman, riffage Galore.. then in stomps Leather Leone.
Leather Leone is the supreme heavy metal force, a female fronted assault on all senses, driving home the fact that metal isn't a boy-toy, but truly a universal feeling that transcends the gender boundaries, allowing all players to make the team and play in the big game.

Good stuff.. if you're into metal! The cover Rules!
Like i said before her voice kinda reminds me of Blackie Lawless and John bush but as a chick.. it's pretty cool.

Blackwych - Out of Control - Crazy NWOBHM-style Metal!

Blackwych - 1986 - Out of Control

Irish NWOBHM!!
this record rules, the production is kinda muddy but the music, the singing is still tough and rad.
I guess i'd compare it to Jaguar, Mythra, Savage, and Sweet Savage.
Good listening.

Witch Cross - Denmark Style NWOBHM!!

Witch Cross - Fit for Fight
DL - Link in Comments

Nwobhm Style Metal from Denmark! Highly Recommended!

Geek Facts:
Classic European heavy metal band from Denmark. Their only album was recorded by the same engineer of cult HM gems such "Mercyful Fate's Melissa" and "Don't Break The Oath", Henrik Lund at Easy Sound Recordings, Copenhagen, Denmark.

Singer Alex Nyborg Madsen and Mike Wlad later turned up in Danish act Harlot, who released one album in 1989. Alex also became the singer of Led Zeppelin Jam. In 1993, the first album with his new band, Savage Affair, was released. He is also a well-known radio host and hosted a TV show in the late 90's.

This is a rad record - Fit for fight.. the name Witch Cross doesn't sound as cool on it's own but looking at the cover makes it waay cooler. the Singer's voice is like Klaus Meine from Scorpions, mixed with Tokyo Blade, Darks Star and a little King Diamond..just a pinch.

Great music, and guitar riffage!!
Some songs even have Mercyful Fate style riffs and solos!
It's Crazy.. The DUtch are rad!

Witch Cross - Are You There/No Angel - first 7"

More Radness from these Killer Dutchmen of Nwobhm-Style Metal

Enjoy the riffage of Witch Cross!!
